Hi: This speaks volumes to me.The pre-flood warning was preached to 4
generations: Those of Enoch, Methuselah,
Lamech,and Noah. Enoch had to know about the flood because he named his son
Methuselah which means "when he is dead it [the flood] shall come". Enoch did
not see death because he was translated to heaven at the age of 365. Methuselah
died on the 'very year' of the flood at the age of 969. Lamech died 'before' the
flood at the age of 777. Noah died after the flood at the age of 950.
It is my understanding that Lamech died 5 years "before the flood".Lamech and
Methuselah died near the end of that age,at the time this earth was flooded.
Lamech died before Methuselah,so Methuselah must have known that Lamech was 777
years old at the time of his death. My feeling is that Methuselah must have
pondered the numbers 777 because I would have. The Lord Jesus used the numbers
777 at the very end of that age,the very last days "before" the time of
flood.Now here we are again at the very end of this age with the same numbers
777.Do you think this is a coincidence? As it was in the days of Noah we have
these 777 numbers appearing again. I will give this some further thought.
