"My sheep - hear My
voice and obey - they follow Me."
Compromising with worldy friends to be LIKED - God calls
it adultery and His enemy.
You adulterers! Don't you realize that friendship with the world
makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you
want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of
God. James 4:4
Seek God not what worldly people seek -
"So stop concerning yourselves about what you will eat or what
you will drink, and stop being distressed, because it is the
UNBELIEVERS who are concerned about all these things. Surely
your Father knows that you need them! Instead, be concerned
about his kingdom, and these things will be provided for you as
well. Luke 12:29-31
Separate yourself from worldly people -
The Lord says, "Get away from unbelievers. Separate yourselves
from them. Have nothing to do with anything unclean. Then I will
welcome you." 2 Corinthians 6:17
Under the influence of - the world the flesh and the
devil -
And you still aren’t ready - for you are still controlled
by your sinful nature. You are jealous of one another and
quarrel with each other. Doesn’t that prove you are controlled
by your sinful nature? Aren’t you living like people of the
world? 1 Corinthians 3:2,3
Spiritual Adultery -
Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an
enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the
world, you make yourself an enemy of God. James 4:4
Beware if the world loves you -
And everyone will hate you because you are MY FOLLOWERS. But the
one who endures to the end will be saved. Mark 13:13
Those who belong to God are separated from the world -
When he has brought out all who are his own, he goes on ahead of
them, and his sheep follow him because they know his
voice. John 10:4
There is no fellowship between believers and non-believers -
Stop forming inappropriate relationships with unbelievers. Can
right and wrong be partners? Can light have anything in common
with darkness? Can Christ agree with the devil? Can a believer
share life with an unbeliever? 2 Corinthians
6:14
God disciplines those that are His and they listen and learn to
obey -
For it is impossible to keep on restoring to repentance time and
again people who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the
heavenly gift, who have become partners with the Holy Spirit,
who have tasted the goodness of God’s word and the powers of the
coming age, and who have fallen away, as long as they continue
to crucify the Son of God to their own detriment by exposing him
to public ridicule. Hebrews 6:4-6
