To say this is a big book is an understatement, the PDF reader says 578 pages and I'll say it's not easy reading.  While Abraham Lincoln was president and shortly after, all this activity was happening in Egypt and the language reflects a time before intellectualism was dumbed down and I fear that information such as Piazzi Smyth presents has been nearly lost.

I did not realize that Great Britain even debated moving to the metric system over a hundred years ago, it reminds me of the US's feeble attempt in the '70's but without a hint of the understanding that fueled the earlier attempt;  our simple "debate" was about how hard it would be to change.  In a nutshell, the Metric system is based on the circumference of the earth while the Pyramid/English system is surprisingly based on the polar radius of the earth ... who knew!

I went to other sources such as Wikipedia and various YouTube videos about the Great Pyramid, but the generally, though not universally, accepted idea is that it's merely Cheop's crypt even though Smyth destroyed that idea completely ... many seemed to consider him merely a religious fanatic.  Some things don't change.

Even though it was tough reading I got a lot out of it.  It would not surprise me at all if during the Millennium the system of weights and measures indicated by the Great Pyramid would be applied by Jesus worldwide.
