God created the moon for signs, among other things.  Genesis 1:14.  Signs are to cause belief in God's authority. Exodus 4:8-9. 

 

I am always amazed with the numeric perfection of God's word.  The study of gematria produces mathematical results which make the written word self-authenticating.  Hebrew and Greek are dual character languages.  This means that each letter has a numeric value.  The languages did not have a system for numbering separate from their alphabets.

 

A great Gematria example is Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1.

Reviewing the April 4 Eclipse data the following numbers, computed in minutes, which are relevant to this eclipse are: duration (357 minutes) and duration of totality (4:43 minutes).  Let's review the gematria of the numbers 357 and 443 to see if "this lunar eclipse sign" has a message.   Obviously, we cannot know now, but we may know later, after events occur when we might be able to see if the sign was fulfilled in the context of the gematria message.

 

357 is factored 3 x 7 x 17.   3 represents divine perfection.  7 represents spiritual perfection and fullness.  17 represents victory and lifting up.  Jesus was resurrected on Nisan 17.   The first occurrence of a word in the Bible with this value is the proper name "Enos".  Genesis 4:26.  Enos was born to Seth, then men began to call on the name of the Lord. http://www.biblewheel.com/GR/GR_Database.php?Gem_Number=357&SearchByNum=Go

In Greek the number 443 yields "the Word" or Logos standing for the "Word of God".  In Hebrew,  the number 443 yields the "House of God".  Other words with this number value are "What is his son's name ? If these numbers teach a prophetic truth, what might they suggest ?  

 

357: First, God is the author of creation.  He is the way, the truth and the life.  He desires that we believe His Truth.  Jesus is in the total length of eclipse represented by divine perfection, fullness and His resurrection victory.  He calls the people of Earth to "call on the name of the Lord".  Call today, for tomorrow may be too late. 2 Corinthians 6:2, Romans 10:13. 

 

443: Second, the Word of God emanates from the House of God.  On Earth, today, true believers are houses of God's word being indwelt by God's Holy Spirit.  They are being presented to God as a Virgin, the bride of Christ, the Son of God.  Is this the "Beginning" of a "Voice Calling", a voice which "praises the Lord".  He knows us by name. Isaiah 43:1. Is the "voice calling" to be as a "trumpet, a shout"? 1 Thessalonians 4:16.

 

These total lunar eclipses on Passover and Sukkot 2014/2015 are surely signs of God calling out His people, Jew and Gentile, to a saving faith before the Time of Jacob's Trouble.  Do these signs suggest and end of the Church Age ?
