"Why America CANNOT be attacked from the North "

I showed at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/mar2014/jovial324-2.htm how Scripture says that Babylon will be attacked from the North, and by the following NAMED nations;

  • A PLURALITY of nations (meaning more than one)
  • Ararat, or modern day "Turkey" (Jer 51:27)
  • Minni (ibid)
  • Ashkenaz, or Germany (ibid)
  • The Medes (slightly north of Babylon)

These nations are indeed North of historical Babylon.  Jimmy responded to this by quoting an article claiming that Russia was laying claim to the North Pole.  There's several problems with that. 

  • Russia is not one of the Northern nations mentioned as being one to attack Babylon.  There are OTHER prophecies in Ezek 38-39 potentially involving Russia, but not in the attach involving Babylon. 
  • Also, there's no land at the North Pole.  The North Pole lies over the artic ocean.  It freezes over in the winter, and thaws out in the summer.  But there is no land there to be claimed by Russia or anyone else.

The United States basically occupies the land FARTHEST North.  The Northern tip of Greenland is closer to the North Pole than any other land mass.  It is littered with US Military bases.  Not only on the Northern tip, but all around Greenland there's plenty of USA military bases.

Greenland has no military.  Official, Denmark is tasked with defending Greenland.  But in practice, there are so many US Military bases in Greenland that they don't have to do a thing.  The USA Military will accomplish that.  Thule is the northernmost base there Americans admit to, but many eye witnesses have reported more USA bases existing even further North.  http://defensetech.org/2012/04/06/inside-the-armys-secret-cold-war-ice-base/ show pictures of one further North.  The USA basically blankets the Northern coast of Greenland with military bases aimed at defending against a Russian attack from the North.  Greenland is happy to have us there because lets face it - we're a better Protectorate than their official one (Denmark) and they can't defend themselves.  So they are happy to give us all that Northland land they don't really want to inhabit anyway.

So Greenland really could not attack the USA, and only Canada could even try.  That violates what Scripture tells us about MULTIPLE nations attacking Babylon from the North.  Even Canada would try; not only because their military is inferior, but they'd be caught in a cross fire between USA military at Greenland and Alaska and from their South.

Even if Russia attacked from the North, it would not fulfill what scripture says, which identifies Babylon as being attacked from nations RESIDING North of Babylon, not just attacking from a strategic launching pad that is northward.

The region of Ancient Media is listed as one of the countries that will attack Babylon.  It was DIRECTLY North of Babylonia (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medes ) and is DUE EAST from the USA.  The Northern border of Media is roughly parallel to North Carolina and Turkey tips out near Pennsylvania. 

There is no land mass called "The North Pole".
