"Are you down 10 runs, with two outs in the ninth?"

Hello, John and Doves,

Are you down 10 runs, with two outs in the ninth?

Well, the largest 9th inning comeback is 9 runs scored by the winning team.

But it's okay, because, God is there in the Big Inning.

Read all about it here:
It is written,
3“ ‘If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, 4I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit. 5Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land.

6“ ‘I will grant peace in the land, and you will lie down and no one will make you afraid. I will remove wild beasts from the land, and the sword will not pass through your country. 7You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you. 8Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you.

9“ ‘I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you. 10You will still be eating last year’s harvest when you will have to move it out to make room for the new. 11I will put my dwelling place among you, and I will not abhor you. 12I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people. 13I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians; I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk with heads held high.' "

Leviticus 26:3-13  NIV

Read about what happens when God's people disobey Him, and do not put Him first in their lives in verses 14 to 39.

Here's what all of us need to know:

40“ ‘But if they will confess their sins and the sins of their ancestors—their unfaithfulness and their hostility toward me, 41which made me hostile toward them so that I sent them into the land of their enemies—then when their uncircumcised hearts are humbled and they pay for their sin, 42I will remember my covenant with Jacob and my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land. 43For the land will be deserted by them and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them. They will pay for their sins because they rejected my laws and abhorred my decrees. 44Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them or abhor them so as to destroy them completely, breaking my covenant with them. I am the Lord their God. 45But for their sake I will remember the covenant with their ancestors whom I brought out of Egypt in the sight of the nations to be their God. I am the Lord.’ ”

46These are the decrees, the laws and the regulations that the Lord established at Mount Sinai between himself and the Israelites through Moses.

Leviticus 26:40-46  NIV

[This passage is why Daniel was praying as he did.]

At this point, you're probably saying, "I can't stomach 613 commandments."

Or maybe you simply said, "Whoa, Nelly!"

Guess what?

Yeshua made it very simple.

The Greatest Commandment

34Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’c 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’d 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Matthew 22:34-40  NIV

Rabbi Shaul says,

"Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law."

Romans 13:10  NIV

Again, it is written,

It is written,

"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

2 Corinthians 5:21  NIV

To put it plainly:

22"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit."

Galatians 5:22-23  NIV

If you feel that you are spiritually hard of hearing,

and all of the foregoing passages seem to have been

just so much hot air blown in your ear,

then here is the 7-1-1:

"So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him."

Matthew 7:11  NLT

How do we become His children?

It is written,

9"The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God."

John 1:9-13  NIV

And of course, His name is Yeshua (Jesus):

“And she shall bring forth a Son, and she shall call his name Yeshua, for he shall save his people from their sins.”

Matthew 1:21  Aramaic Bible in Plain English
