Doves -

 

My seven year old GSD has never been boarded and goes everywhere with me. Not this time: I am going into surgery at 7AM EDT this Wednesday. It's a three hour minimally invasive procedure and, God willing, all will be fine afterward. There is even the possibility that I may be discharged by evening. But, my dog, my companion and bodyguard, is sick. I believe it may be due to joint pain because, after taking some anti-inflammatory medication, he began eating a bit. He will be home alone (except when my son comes to let him out). However, he seems to sense that something is up and this may be adding to his listlessness He is stressed and, of course, the situation is stressing me out. I'm sure all you dog-lovers know just how I feel.

 

For both my dog's sake and mine, please pray that this surgery is uneventful; successful, and for a quick recovery for both of us.
