I was getting ready to post....almost exactly what Lisa said at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/march2013/lisat328.htm , but she sure put it well and I totally agree. If the AoD just happened, it is not time to sit around and watch it on the internet.  Yeshua told us to head for the hills when we see the AoD because the Mark of the Beast will rise shortly thereafter and it will be impossible to live in civilized society and you will need to get out while the getting is good.  If you wait around a day or two, it may be too late.

Had BO succeeded in getting Israel to sign the Covenant that was being touted, that might have been a significant event.  But it didn't happen.  Nothing resembling an AoD happened, and if it had, it wouldn't matter unless one can count 1260 days and see a treaty being agreed to.

I don't think there is a treaty that fits the discription of Daniel 9 yet.  If there is, someone let us know.  But when it comes, start watching, and count 1,260 day, and if an AoD happens at THAT point, it is likely the last we'll talk about it on the internet.

When that time comes, we are not going to have to do mental calesthenics to force fit the event into a covenant.  Accepted the Nobel prize is not a covenant.  A speech on TV is not a covenant. I think when the treaty of Daniel 9:27 is signed, we'll all be shaking wondering if this is the real thing.  We'll get that confirmation 1260 days later.  But this was not it.
