Dear Charles and Doves,According to the Hillel Calendar, Iyar 14 in 2013 will be The Second Passover. This will be from sunset on 4-24 to sunset on 4-25. The most significant part is the evening when one may have the second opportunity to participate in an annual Passover seder. Approaching the midnight hour on 4-24, Israel will have concluded the opportunity. Approaching the midnight hour on 4-25, the whole world will have completed the additional Passover seder opportunity for the year. The dates of Iyar 14 to 15 will have clues to match the Song of Solomon 2: 10-12. "The flowers appear on the earth, the time of the singing of the birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in the land." Some flowers to appear may include the pink wild ground phylox, also called moss pink, a kind of herb. The moon going to full on 4-25 is called the Pink Moon. Israel is a land bridge to Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Many species of birds migrate there in Spring. Much bird song now. What kind of turtles are heard? It is turtle doves, which migrate to Israel in April. In word study, the word pink can be used in the form of a verb. It means to pierce or stab (as by a sword.) What does unleavened bread, used for First or Second Passover, look like in appearance? It has brown stripes, like symbolic stripes of affliction. It has holes on it, at regular intervals, for it to bake evenly. Unleavened bread is PIERCED! The theme of pink, in a rather unknown or hidden meaning as a verb, means to be pierced. Remember the afikomen, the middle piece of matzoh of the three, which is pierced and broken and hidden during a Passover seder? The Messiah/Christ was pierced in His heart by a specialty sword called a lance, with a sharp edge on the tip. His heart was symbolically broken, then the body hidden away in the loaner tomb of Joseph of Arimathea. After the exodus from Egypt, the unleavened bread was gone as of Iyar 14. Curious timing. There were three days of no bread. It was on Iyar 17 that the manna, the bread from Heaven, began to appear. Nisan 17 was the Feast of First Fruits and Resurrection Day for Messiah/Christ in His times. Something wonderfully significant, one thing is similar between unleavened bread and manna. Each is a form of unleavened bread! Messiah/Christ likened Himself to the manna in the wilderness, yet so much more. He is the Living Bread from Heaven to give Eternal Life. These are fascinating days before us with the reality of unleavened bread, pierced and broken, with the stripes of affliction which is symbolic of a life without the leaven (yeast) or puffing up with sins or pride. The Second Passover. Then is The Day when the supernatural bread of provision began to come down from Heaven. Will the Redeemer, The Unleavened One and The Living Bread of Eternal Life, come down from Heaven soon in the event of The Blessed Hope? The days before us of Iyar 14 to 17 are rich with spiritual beauty and promise, in symbols and meanings. With Love and Shalom,Jean
