"RE: Rene: 04.16.13: strange twist"

Rene,

             You had written:

Odd, isn't it that the "gate of hell" was found in Turkey where the Bible tells us Satan's Seat is (Pergamos)???

That is where Jesus said it was, even though Alexander Hislop disagreed with Jesus, saying that it had moved to Rome.

Revelation 2:12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;

13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

Then, interestingly, that same seat is later (like nearly 2,000 years later) given to the beast:

Revelation 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

So, it sure looks like that Satan gives his seat, which is there in Turkey, to the beast.

Turkey had been the head of the Eastern leg of the Roman Empire, which survived long after Rome fell.

Turkey also became the head of the Caliphate.

Turkey, also used to be believed to be the land of Magog (until after people tried to make it fit with the Soviets in the 20th century).

So, yes, the whole thing is a very strange twist.
