Steve is not saying that you have to be perfect, he is saying that you must be surrendered

That means you not only make a profession of Christ, you follow thought with it, you have to surrender your will to him

That is something that many do not seem to want to do

So that is why there are many warnings in scripture about that sort of behavior, and that is why many here repeat that warning

 

Many try to say that once you are saved it doesn't matter how you live because Jesus did it all.

But that is not true
