"Pray that you might be "Strong" enough to escape"

I just read the New Living Translation of this divisive verse today.
The King James uses the word " worthiness" in the following scripture which indicates you have to earn it.
The New Living uses the word " strong enough"
which means instead that you have to endure it," the hour of persecution or testing".
I am not saying this translation is without flaws, but neither is King James. I am just saying if you have a difficult verse to understand try another version or a sight were you can compare them side by side.
Like the parallel bible here
Luke 21:34
“Watch out! Don’t let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries of this life. Don’t let that day
catch you unaware,  like a trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth.  Keep alert at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man.”
