"Asking for Prayer for my Dog, Please"

Hi Everyone,

I know that many of you are animal lovers like myself so I was hoping that you might take the time to pray for my precious little Mini-Schnauzer, Spencer.  He is only 4 years old but has been suffering with what we thought was spinal pain for several months.  Lately, the pain has become so severe that he just sits and trembles and pants.  It is so heartbreaking to watch him suffer and none of the pain medications for dogs are safe long-term.

Thursday, Spencer underwent an MRI and a spinal tap and complete physical evaluation by an Orthopedic Veterinary Surgeon to determine if a ruptured disc or other spinal abnormality was causing such intense pain.  Although we don't have the results of the spinal fluid analysis yet, the other tests were surprisingly negative.  We thought surgery would solve his problems and now the vets can't even figure out what Spencer's problems are.  Meanwhile, my little guy, who can't speak and express what he's feeling, is suffering excruciating pain.  The pain meds they prescribed are turning him into a zombie and they are dangerous.  Needless to say, he's not very happy right now and I am beside myself with worry.

If I could ask you to help pray for Spencer, I would ask you to pray that God will reveal what's causing his pain and how to treat the cause - not the symptoms.  Only God knows what is wrong with my dog.  The veterinarians are baffled.  If we can learn the source of the pain, maybe we can treat it properly.

Several years ago, I lost the best dog I ever had due to an "undiagnosed" heart problem.  The vets couldn't figure that one out either.  I was so devastated over losing Tigger that I could barely function.  Spencer helped me heal.  Now Spencer is sick, too.  I don't think I can bear to lose another best friend.

Thank you in advance for your heart felt prayers for my little guy. "Dog" is "God" spelled backwards and there are 2 huge constellations in the universe named after dogs - Canis Major and Canis Minor.  So dogs must be important to God.  As all of you well know, there is power in numbers ~ especially when it comes to prayer......."where two or more are gathered together in my name"........

Thank you so much and God Bless You!
