I am growing concerned, and yes, even irritated, at the preachers, teachers and others who continue to degrade and discount the finished work of the cross by my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It seems these individuals do not believe that Jesus and His shed blood was powerful enough to atone for our sins, past, present and future, when He went to the cross. They believe that we have to "help Him" keep ourselves saved.Please answer this for me. Did Jesus' crucifixion and shed blood cover 75% of our salvation? 90%? 99%? I believe His atonement covered me 100% and that Jesus is responsible for "keeping" me saved and not me. He changes me from the inside out. I am not the one who does the changing. He is. It is not I who lives, but Christ who lives in me. And I am comforted that He said that no one could snatch me out of His hand.Those who do not believe in the 100% atoning sacrifice by Jesus, just go ahead and admit that you are uncertain of the 100% atonement and "feel" that it is really the life that you live and the sins that you avoid that saves you. That's really what you are saying.And why do you condemn others and not yourselves? Because you think you are "righteous" because of how you live your life.Please stop bashing my Lord and savior and what He did on the cross to save those who would ask Him for salvation. Its about Jesus......not you!
