"21 days delay"
Some of us have a habit of consulting the Bible
when we have great need for God's instruction. I don't
mean methodical reading of it, but just "opening it at random"
to get an answer. I have wondered if this is an OK thing
to do, if God approves. The bottom line here is that God
often gives me direct and remarkable answers to this method of
questioning Him.
Yesterday was one of the bad days. In this part of my life
I have a few good days, a few bad days, a few very bad days
every week. I really needed encouragement.
No one was here with me, except God and whoever wrote on the
internet, and I felt sick and alone and not knowing HOW to
manage whatever days remain in my earthly life. So I
consulted the Bible in that way.
I was rather confused about it all, but I think that what I
asked was this: When will you come for me, for us, for
Doves throughout the world?
I opened up to the passage in Daniel where the angel tells the
prophet that he was delayed 21 days in coming to answer.
That his prayer was heard at once, but the angel was stopped for
21 days by warring with the Prince of Persia, but that finally a
fellow angel came to help, and they overcame the Prince of
Persia, and he was able to fulfill his messenger duty to
Daniel. And he told Daniel that he was loved, and that the
intent had been to answer at once.
I don't know what this means except that He is delayed in
coming, whether for 21 days or just an unspecified term of
delay.
Of course I wonder how God and His angel emissary could be
delayed, when He has decided to come and answer a prayer.
But I don't know everything about God's ways.
I thought of possible meanings of 21 days' delays. 21 days
after First Fruits would be this coming Sunday, April 28.
That's one possibility. There could be others.
Thoughts welcome, if anyone has them, about this.
