Hello Ladies!!

I spent many hours this past weekend looking into the Gospel of Nicodemus, and was working on a post to Robert about how I did not see how this book could be a reliable source of information about who the two Witnesses are.  I could not believe some of the information I found, it was not even close to being Biblical!! But, the Lord put it on my heart to work on something else.  I thought I would come back to it, but now I don’t have to.

What bothered me the most was the chapter that Robert quoted was from a part of the book entitled “Christ’s decent into Hell”. The Gospel of Nicodemus included these parts:

Part I is known as the "Acts of Pilate"; Part II is called "Christ's Descent Into Hell"

What would Pilate and Nicodemus know about such things?  What would any of this have to do with who the Two Witnesses are?  After reading some commentaries by the Early Church fathers, I figured this was one of the lost books that should have stayed lost!!!

So, I want to thank you both for dispelling the validity of these works, and doing such a great job of pointing out that we should not believe such works that are so suspect as to origin and timing.  I just wanted to tell you what a great job you both did in pointing out the truth, and asking the right questions!!
