"Donna Danna - Enoch")
Hello Martin,
In your post to Donna, you quoted this quote from the Book of Enoch.
Enoch 1:1-2 “The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed.”
I have a few questions.
Will the elect and righteous be living in the day of tribulation? Aren’t they taken in the Rapture before the tribulation?
Are not the righteous to be removed not the wicked and godless?
Isn’t that how the wicked and godless are going to describe the Rapture…that the wicked born again Christians are taken and the good people stay?
Where in that statement does it say Enoch will be living during the tribulation? It reads that he “blessed the elect and righteous who will be living in the day of tribulation, not that he would be living.
This is what I do not like about the Book of Enoch… from verse one it contradicts the Bible…it is like looking in a mirror and seeing just the opposite of the Truth, even though it looks somewhat the same.
I don’t mean to put you on the spot; I just need help in understanding what this verse is saying. I could be wrong, but to me, it seems to contradict, not agreed with, what the Holy Bible teaches. What am I not seeing? Thank you for your help.Your sister in Christ,

"Donna Danna - Enoch"Sure Donna,
Enoch 1:1-2 The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed.
Enoch here states in the very beginning of his book, that he shall be living in the day of tribulation. I've always interpreted that as he is identifying himself as one of the two witnesses who shall be alive during this period. The other of course everybody knows is Elijah. There is a debate on whether the second is Moses, or Enoch. I am believe it is Enoch, for several reasons. Enoch like Elijah was taken up into heaven, and like Elijah, he's never died.
Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Secondly, Enoch 1:1-2 pretty much settled it for me, in my mind. Of course there will be those who disagree with me on this, and that is fine.
God Bless
