"Don't forget to be
charitable..."
Blessed is he that considers the poor: Yahweh will
deliver him in time of trouble. Yahweh will preserve him, and
keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and you
will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. – Psalms 41:1-2
He that despises his neighbor sins: but he that has mercy on the
poor, happy is he. – Proverbs 14:21
“Give, and it shall be given to you. A good measure, pressed
down and shaken together and running over shall be put into your
lap. For with the same measure with which you measure, it shall
be measured back to you.” – Luke 6:38 The Scriptures
But this I say, He which sows sparingly shall reap also
sparingly; and he which sows bountifully shall reap also
bountifully. Every man according as he purposes in his heart, so
let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a
cheerful giver. – 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not
high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living
God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good,
that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to
communicate; Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation
against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal
life. – 1 Timothy 6:17-19
“I have been young, and now I am old; Yet I have not seen the
righteous forsaken, Or his seed begging bread. All day long he
is showing favour and lending; And his seed is for a blessing.”
– Psalms 37:25-26 The Scriptures
When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy
angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory:
And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall
separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep
from the goats: And He shall set the sheep on His right hand,
but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say to them on
His right hand, Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the
kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I
was hungry, and you gave Me meat: I was thirsty, and you gave Me
a drink: I was a stranger, and you took Me in: Naked, and you
clothed Me: I was sick, and you visited Me: I was in prison, and
you came to Me. Then shall the righteous answer Him, saying,
Lord, when did we see You hungry, and fed You? or thirsty, and
gave You a drink? When did we see You as a stranger, and took
You in? or naked, and clothed You? Or when did we see You sick,
or in prison, and came to You? And the King shall answer and say
to them, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as you have done it to
one of the least of these My brethren, you have done it to Me. –
Matthew 25:31-40
