"Know John 3:16 great,
Know John 3:36 ?"
Know John 3:16 great, Know John 3:36 ?
Why is 3:36 so less well known that 3:16? Is it less
true? Is it harder to swallow? Is it not as
pretty? Is it not as nice? Is it less
attractive? Is it a truth that no one wants to talk
about? Is it the truth no one wants to face? Is the
whole counsel of God’s Holy Word no longer important to be
taught or presented especially To the Unsaved “World”? Are
Sport fan crowds unable to look up 3:36?
Milk: John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life.
Meat: John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting
life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but
the wrath of God abideth on him.
For the “many paths lead to heaven crowd”, and the “Jesus is not
necessary group”; I’ve got some bad news for you; Not Good News,
but Bad News; the wrath of God abideth on you. Wrath not Love is
on you! Will Jesus ask us why we did not WARN
anyone? Where was the alarm bell? Will he ask us why
we only enjoyed, liked, and preferred to preach, teach and talk
about 3:16 ? Will he ask us, “Hey what happened to
3:36? Did you not love them enough to warn them because it
was too hard and uncomfortable to do? Why did you think I
put in 3:36? Was it unworthy of sharing too? Was it in
there for a reason too?”
(Abideth ) on him - This implies that he is "now" under the
wrath of God, under condemnation, and it will continue to remain
on him. It will "abide" or "dwell" there as its appropriate
habitation. As there is no way of escaping the wrath of God but
by the Lord Jesus Christ, so those who will not believe must go
to eternity "as they are," with the Wrath of God Abiding on
them.
If every supposed Christian started quoting John 3:36 instead
of, or in addition to John 3:16, I wonder what would
happen?
