Mercy (love) + judgment (justice) = Holy God. A part of mercy is love and justice is a part of judgment. It is time to get real as you can’t deceive God. God alone knows your heart and true motives. God alone will judge you. However, if you do not believe his word and know him and know that you can stop sinning, you will not even try to stop sinning. What will he say to you on judgment day? Do you want to hear, “depart from me, I never knew you?” Ouch!
The Bible says many are told to depart from his HOLY presence. Did they believe in his name, Yes. Why are they told to depart? He says he does not know them. What? Maybe a lot of us think we know him but we really don’t know him. How can we know him? Is abiding in his presence through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit knowing him? Could it be that, in short, they believed the lie that they could not stop sinning? They alone, all by themselves could not stop sinning, but they were supposed to be abiding in his presence (daily) through the Holy Spirit and were supposed to cease from all known and deliberate sin-period, and while they lived on earth in their natural bodies guess what that was/is POSSIBLE. (2 Pet. 1: 4)
I know what you are thinking, that is not what I’ve been told and well that just does not sound very nice, or loving! Depart from me. I never knew you. Well that sounds too harsh and unloving! I don’t want to think that is possible or going to happen to people who believe in Jesus.
You got it! It is not love (the way you understand love), but guess what; IT IS HOLY. Ask the Lord in prayer what the truth is and he will confirm his truth. I AM. I AM HOLY. Without Faith it is impossible to please God. Yes the faith to believe, but to believe what? Faith that he saved you from your Sin for a reason, and that it was NOT so that you can stay and wallow in your sins repeatedly. (Mark 9:23) Faith that you can stop sinning by knowing him and abiding in him all the time! (1 Jn. 3:6)
Duet 32;36, “ The Lord will Judge his people; he will search and try his visible church and will punish the sinners IN IT with the greatest severity. Oh my, I thought he was only all about nothing but LOVE? What is this a God who is HOLY?
A God who Judges his church and punishes his church worse than the heathen who never knew anything about him at all?
Why this is not what I want to know or read! I want my loving only God. Where is my tv guide? I do not like this Holy God. I want my loving only God. Who is this God who judges and punishes and expects me to; “go and sin no more” to not sin anymore? He’s not anywhere on my Christian TV programs or channels? I want my loving only God. Oh, he is not on tv but in my bible. Where is my bible? Oh, I haven’t read that old story book in ages. I want my loving only God.
After all, it is impossible for me to do, and I really don’t even want to try because it is really hard, like a burden. It is heavy, like carrying a cross would be, and it is too difficult. It is too hard and it cost me a lot of pleasure, and nobody except God’s Word tells me I can even do it. Why I tell you the gospel truth, I’D much RATHER GO ON BELIEVING all the FALSE DOCTRINE AND SATAN’S LIE THAT I DO NOT HAVE TO STOP SINNING! I’D much RATHER BELIEVE THAT I CAN NOT ABIDE IN THE LORD, AND THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT AVAILABLE TO ME TODAY TO LIVE HOLY. It is impossible for me alone to do and it is impossible for me to do along with the Holy Spirit. Either way, I just can’t so I will not try. God knows and understands and I so want my loving only God.
I’D much RATHER PRETEND TO KNOW THE LORD, pretend to love him, pretend to care about living holy, pretend to have faith THAN to actually, for real, STOP SINNING.
I want to pretend that Jesus said to the woman, “Go and sin all you want, just make sure you come back to me in prayer and say you are sorry, repeat. ” See this belief system allows me to: 1- never change or stop sinning, and 2 – never exercise any real faith and 3- never experience the Holy Spirit and 4- never really practice or obey or do even the very First Commandment. It is great. It is so easy and it is almost has if I’m not really Christian at all. No, for this version of the truth, I do not have to apply the First Commandment to my life at all; to love the Lord your God with all of your heart. All I have to do is just give lip service to that supposed love that I have for him. He never said anything like; if you love me, obey me. I will go on sinning because I do not want to believe the consequence of my sin is hell. Too many TV preachers have told me for years that I can do all the sinning that I want as long as simply say, “I’m sorry.” Repeat. I do not believe in a Holy God. I only believe in a Love God who does not expect anything from me, and loves me too much to ever say; depart from me, I never knew you.
So I will happily remain in sin and lie to myself. I will live my life in a stagnate state of constant unbelief that I am equipped to cease from sin. I choose to believe and have faith that I am unable to obey. The Bible is untrue and God is lying when he says that through him, I can. I’ll further assume when I die that Jesus will be okay me because Jesus is only all about love and not Holiness at all, and after all he never said to me; BE YE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY. He never, ever said that and why that is not in my bible anywhere except in: 1 Peter 1: 16 and 1 Thes 4:3 and Leviticus 11: 44-47. Well OKAY maybe he said it, but he did not mean it. God is always telling us stuff that he does not really mean, like do not eat from that tree or you will surely die.
You just can’t trust God to tell you the truth or what he expects from you. Not in the New Testament or the Old: He never even said to Cain in Genesis 4:7 to conquer sin. God never even suggested or hinted that Cain should even attempt to cease or control or master or conquer sin.
All things are NOT possible to him that believes, and God is only all about LOVE and NOT HOLY at all.
What does the cover of your bible say? Love Bible or Holy Bible? After you die, will you hear, “Well done good and faithful servant,” or “Depart from me, I never knew you?” God is Holy, and Eternity is long time to be wrong.
