Hello All
 I keep seeing verses quoted from 1 John on being perfect and to stop sinning. I keep seeing post that if you are going to be saved you must know you can stop sinning and do it. Then I see another post from the same author posted  He is saying he is angry over U.S. not confirming Jerusalem as capital.But wait a minute he calls it 'righteous anger". So I guess if we put the word righteous in front of our sin it is no longer a sin.Wow because remember what Jesus said about anger Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Now he may say he has a cause to be angry, but then again who decides that. We are saved by the blood of the only Holy person ever to live on this planet. His name is Jesus.  Quit putting a burden on christians that they cannot do.  Now I have allowed my 'righteous anger" to tell you this. PLEASE LEARN TO RIGHTLY DIVIDE THE WORD as we are told to do. We are not ever going to quit sinning until we die. THE WAGES OF SIN ARE DEATH. If we do not sin anymore than we do not need a new body.

Matthew 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
These people are trying to be perfect and thought they were. But Jesus set them straight and said if you want to be perfect to get to heaven you better not miss helping one single person. So get off your computer and get to work. That is, all those who think they quit sinning.
 
Yes we do need to be perfect to be saved. Our perfection comes from faith in Christ. Once we have faith God then see's us as perfect through his Son Jesus.
