"RE:  Someone is not rightly dividing the word of truth, in regard to 2 Corinthians 6:2"

Hello, John and Doves,

Someone should realize that Rabbi Shaul did not magically pull words from his hat in order to write Second Corinthians 6:2.

No.  Rabbi Shaul quoted Isaiah 49:8.
"This is what the Lord says:

'At just the right time, I will respond to you.a

On the day of salvation I will help you.

I will protect you and give you to the people

as my covenant with them.

Through you I will reestablish the land of Israel

and assign it to its own people again.' "

Rabbi Shaul quoted this in order to persuade the Corinthians to accept the new life offered by Christ, and to subsequently nurture it.

For those who were born the day before yesterday, the land of Israel was re-established in 1948, and confirmed in the year of Jubilee, 28 Iyyar 5727--Wednesday, June 7, 1967.

So, then, obviously, 2 Corinthians 6:2 shares the same theme as Isaiah 49:8--being born again.

There you go.  And wherever you go, there you are.
