Daniel
9:27 KJV " And he shall
confirm the covenant with many for one week:
and in the midst of the
week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to
cease,
and for the overspreading
of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until
the
consummation, and that
determined shall be poured upon the desolate."
What about the New
Covenant that Jesus brought with his crucifixion and
resurrection? He
was crucified in the midst of the 63rd week and 7
weeks
later the Holy Spirit
descended on the 120 in the Upper Room at Pentecost.
That just happens to be 70 weeks of
days.
Daniel
9:24 KJV "Seventy
weeks are determined upon thy
people and upon
thy holy city, to finish
the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to
make reconciliation for
iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness,
and to seal up the vision
and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy."
It just says 70 weeks [of
days?!]: not 70 weeks of weeks, which would be 490
years.
Passion Week ended with
His resurrection and that was accepted and brought
to all believer's in
Jesus as the Son of God, and very God, SALVATION.
He said; If you have seen me, you have seen the
Father. He told the unbelieving
Jews that Abraham was NOT
their father, but Satan was. When Jesus came
the first time the gospel
went out to all the world but it came first to
Abraham's
children with the first
and Old Covenant, but the New Covenant came to all the
world.
It was 40 years later
that the Temple was burned and 66 years after that the
Jews
were banished from
Jerusalem.
So, Jesus made a New
Covenant with the many believer's when he arose from
the dead early in the
morning of the 1st day of the week that was the third
day,
which we call Easter.
Well, Hallelujah! That's
my take on this subject. JFH
