Dear Patti & Donna,

 

I think it is absolutely wonderful that the two of you are spending so much time trying to help each other (and us in the process) understand the Lord’s Word better.  I am writing this in the hopes that I can convey the message that neither one of you should worry that you may be losing credibility in the exchange of ideas with the readers of Five Doves, even though you have differing opinions.  Indeeed, it is my opinion that this is absolutely not the case at all.  Instead, I believe I speak for the silent majority when I say that Iron sharpens Iron, and you are both being EXCELLENT ambassadors for the Lord by patiently answering each others queries.

 

A special note To Patti:  You mentioned that you sometimes dread opening a letter to you because of all the negativity you have been receiving lately over your posts.  I personally believe that this negativity is increasingly common now a day in that people just do not know how to communicate differences in a positive manner anymore (I am not talking about Donna).  The art of “attacking the issue” INSTEAD of “attacking the person” is becoming an increasingly rare skill in this day and age, even among fellow watchers.

 

In “the old days”, this skill was more commonly taught and applied.  As such, there was a common courtesy that usually prevailed.  But please know this:  Whether we agree with everything you write or not, you are still our sister-in-Christ and are VERY WELL LOVED AND APPRECIATED!!  I would like to thank you for “putting yourself out there” no matter the personal cost.  To reiterate, I personally appreciate you VERY MUCH!!

 

CONCLUSION:  Sometimes preaching an aspect of Scripture that is not commonly accepted by the prophecy community is difficult, but yet putting forward such alternative perspectives is usually extremely fruitful (as long as there is no contradiction to Scripture).  As just one example of this, if I had a dime for every time someone insisted that the Post-Rapture period MUST be a full seven years with a peace treaty, I would be a “millionaire” (yes, I am exaggerating, but you get the point).

 

Keep looking up!!  It won’t be long now.  May we all be the Easter Eggs that God collects on Easter morning (or hopefully even sooner).  Okay, make it the Bride and you have a deal.
