Who are the ”two witnesses” and “the God of the earth” of Rev 11? Can either of the two witnesses be from our days? Let’s follow the leads given to us in Scripture and see where they lead.
 
Rev 11:3,4 says, “I will give power unto my TWO WITNESSES, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days (i.e., probably the last half of the Tribulation), clothed in sackcloth. 4  These are the TWO OLIVE TREES, and the TWO CANDLESTICKS standing before THE GOD OF THE EARTH.”
 
ONE OF THE TWO WITNESSES IS ELIJAH
 
Mal_4:5 says, “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD (YHWH)”.
 
The Day of the Lord is the Day of God’s Wrath. It takes place 7 months (Dan 12:11) before the Second Advent in a Jewish Leap Year. I think that year will be 5776, and it is a Leap Year with the 13th month.
 
JESUS IS THE LORD GOD OF THE WHOLE EARTH
 
Psa 97:5 says, “The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD (YHWH), at the presence of the Lord (Adon) of the whole earth.”
 
Mic_4:13 says, “Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD (YHWH), and their substance unto the Lord (Adon) of the whole earth.”
 
Zec_4:14 says, “Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord (Adon) of the whole earth.”
 
WHO IS THE OTHER WITNESS?
 
Since Elijah appeared with Moses before the Lord of the whole Earth at the Transfiguration, I think the other one will be Moses.
 
Mat_17:3 says, “And, behold, there appeared unto them MOSES AND ELIAS talking with him.”
 
Mar_9:4 says, “And there appeared unto them ELIAS WITH MOSES: and they were talking with Jesus.”
 
I think it will take Moses, Elijah and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, May 27, 2012, to get the Temple built before Mid-Trib, Nov 8/9,2012. That is less than half a year after Ascension Day, May 17. It only takes 3 months, but with the mindset in Israel now, it not only isn’t under construction, most of them do not seem to even know where to build it. Many think they will have to tear down the Dome of the Rock, and that isn’t necessary. The dimensions of the rock under the dome will not fit inside the Holy of Holies. I have studied this and have decided that the Temple should be built with its front facing east and its  back facing the Wailing Wall. It should be built over the Kas Fountain between the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque. If one just studies the water purification system for the Temple, they should be able to come to the same conclusion.
 
The aquaduct enters the Temple north of the wailing wall and turns southeast. The water from the Etiam Spring near Solomon’s Pools cascaded from the aqueduct into a series of cisterns cut in the rock carrying the moving water downhill on that solid rock hill  to keep it pure. The water flowed all the time, because they built a 100 ft. deep sealed siphon in a valley along the path of the aqueduct.
