"Dream of the Antichrist 4/29/2012"

I’ve not posted here before, just lurked, but I had a dream last night that I thought was interesting and don’t really have anyone else to share it with but you guys here.

I dream a lot but never anything particularly special. I’ve never thought of myself receiving dreams from God as revelations of anything. I don’t even think this one has any specific prophetic implication, but the subject matter definitely pertained to the Antichrist. There were some curious ideas that I thought were brought up in the dream, which is why I wanted to share it.

Early in the dream, I was at a church where they were holding a conference. The conference was open for anyone, so there were both Christians and non-Christians there. The man speaking was very amiable and well spoken, and he was presenting ideas that impressed the crowd. As I was listening, though, I knew it was all a lie. There was some truth mixed in with what he was saying, but I could immediately recognize that he and his words were not to be trusted. I knew this because I knew what God’s Word says, and they didn’t line up. I was very uncomfortable and was growing increasingly bored. At the break between sessions, I overheard people talking about what this guy was saying. (I don’t remember any of the details of what he said.) Some of them were women from my church. They were so excited, and I became concerned. There was a group of Christians going around putting packets on people’s chairs. The packets contained a book of this man’s sayings and promises and a Bible with commentary that this group put together showing how he was a liar and not to be trusted. I eagerly took the packet, knowing it would be highly useful. I then left. Later I found out that I had intentionally been left out of the second session because the speaker knew I didn’t believe him and was actively against him. I was both relieved (I didn’t want to hear any more of his lies) and disappointed (I did want to hear what his plan was so I could be prepared). I knew this man was the Antichrist. I also remember seeing friends from school at this time and having to tell them that a fellow classmate dear to us had died recently in a car accident.

The dream shifted, and I was now in an older city built on a hill so that the streets were tiered above each other. It made me think of Jerusalem or some other older Middle Eastern city. The streets and alley-ways were narrow, and it was hot and dusty. There were very few people there, as I think they were all somewhere else preparing for a celebration. I was running through the streets, though, searching for this man (the one from the conference), except that now he had changed into a young boy (maybe 12-13). To be honest, I think that part was influenced by L.A. Marzulli’s story of the young guru he followed for a while before he became a Christian. That was the type of impression I got from this boy. I was both searching for him, to see what he was up to, and trying to avoid being found by him or his body guards, who were roaming the streets. Suddenly, he appeared in a doorway I was about to go through, standing beside a man who was my principal in school and who also taught numerous prophecy classes I attended through the years (we’ll call him K). K was smiling broadly (which was a little odd for him), and the boy (who was the Antichrist) was smiling as well. He said that he thought we would like to see each other again since it had been a while since we had last seen each other. Then he left. I was really worried about K, that he had been deceived by the AC. It only took a moment of talking together, though, before K realized what had happened and had his eyes opened to who the boy was. Then we parted ways.

The dream shifted once more. I was at an old house I used to live in (I frequently have dreams about that house, as it was my favorite home as a child). The AC was now in the form of a little girl (maybe 7-8). There were a lot of people around setting up for a big party / celebration that was going to happen in a few days. There was an older woman there, maybe in her 50’s. I went into the house and entered the kitchen where the woman was. The little girl/AC was laying on the table, and the woman proudly told me that she had killed her. I grew very scared. Then she told me her plan about cooking the girl up and feeding her to the people outside throwing the party in her honor (bizarre?). She said that this was to ensure that the girl (AC) couldn’t come back. I became more and more worried. She then went outside on the deck and announced to the crowd that I had killed the girl and was going to cook her up for the feast. It wasn’t like she was blaming me. She was trying to give me the honor of defeating this being (for she saw it as an honor). The crowd was silent in shock. I was terrified. I knew that the AC would be coming back, regardless of what we did to the body, and suddenly realized that it would probably be in the next few days. He/she/it knew this was going to happen and set up the ceremony in advance. This would, of course, only make it appear all the more powerful and worthy of worship in the end when its purpose is revealed to the crowd. I knew I was a dead person. I knew in my spirit that when the AC came back, he would demand conversion or death. And I knew in my spirit that this woman would be converted. Even though she currently opposed the AC, she was not a believer. The conversion would be a supernatural event that only those who already belong to the Lord would be able to withstand. She would become his follower, and I would face death for being implicated in this whole affair and refusing to bow to him in submission. That’s when I woke up.

The points that came to me as I thought about this dream were these:

We know that there will be a deception so great that even the elect could be deceived, if that were possible. Those who are not familiar with God’s Word are at risk of being deceived by sweet sounding words and empty promises. Jesus said that His sheep know His voice and can recognize an imposter’s voice. We need to encourage fellow believers to know God’s Word (in all things, not just prophecy) so that they can truly recognize His voice.

It may surprise us who will fall for deception. The Enemy may use people we respect deeply to draw us into his deception. However, we need to stay true to God’s Word. God may use us to draw those people back out of the deception (this is before any taking of the mark, as I believe there is no going back on that). They just may need a gentle reminder to be brought back on the true path. Always speak in love to draw people back.

If the AC does receive a fatal wound, the resulting persecution of true believers could very well be because they will be painted as terrorists even if they are not directly involved in the incident. Because they oppose him, they will be made the enemy.*

Becoming a follower of the AC (and consequently taking his mark) will be a supernatural event nearly irresistible to all but those who are already sealed by God. This is not to say that others won’t resist, because I believe there will be. But I think that if they have direct contact with him (although not necessarily one-on-one), it will be almost impossible. Those who can avoid seeing him or hearing him have a better chance of resisting him. Those who belong to God and who face the AC will indeed face death, but they will be strong in their faith and not shrink away.*

Interestingly enough, a dear friend of mine from school (very godly man) was killed last fall in a vehicle accident. He wasn’t from my class, and it wasn’t the same guy that it was in my dream, so I don’t know if there’s a connection.

*I don’t know if the details about the AC and forced conversions and all that are actually accurate to how it will be. That was just the impression from my dream. I don’t think we’ll really know until it happens. But curious things to think about, I suppose.

Anyway, it may mean nothing but just an interesting dream. I thought I’d share it, anyway. :)

In Him,
Lisa
