"re Sandra Jean -
discussions at 5 doves"
Sandra,
I read your reposting of a March 23rd letter to 5 doves. I
sense your concern, as often times I have been concerned over
different postings, but in spite of your concern, what I am left
with is an idea with no substance. You quoted "judge not
lest you be judged"...something I try to live by also, but by
making a statement of the "politics" used at 5 doves without
supporting who or what group uses it....you have put all
commentary under suspicion.
This is a unique site in that for many believers, this may be
the first time they have felt free to contribute where they
believe the Lord has lead them. As their faith dictates,
it may be what they have heard preached in their churches, told
to by a friend or maybe even searched out on their own in
scripture. 5 doves is a great sounding board for these ideas and
for those who are really interested in this type of study, it
often causes one to run to their bible to rethink what is being
held to as truth. I think the Jews thought so highly of
this practice that this was the common method of study used in
the synagogues where often the rabbis would debate a
"truth". When Christ came he finally put the truth before
them and few were able to truly receive it. But, those
that did receive it were so destined to, by God, before the
foundations of the world. Now during this age of grace,
the same thing is going on. Debate, discussion, clearer
insight..... and no one will get it 100 percent right.
Almost discouraging, but it is God who will finish His work in
us and the degree to which we get it right will depend on what
He has brought into our life and how He has designed us to
recieve or reject those things.
It is not up to you to have to protect everyone although I sense
in you the need to do so- I was there once myself.
So my advice- Be truthful to what you believe to be true, feel
free to voice it and then allow God to correct those that are
willing to receive it.
