"Nicole in regards to
your purgatory comments"
Nicole, Just some scriptures for
you to look at in reference to your posting.
Mt. 8:12, Mt. 22:13, Mt 25:30. Notice the term "outer
darkness" in reference to the Kingdom of Heaven. In the
first reference it is the children that are cast out, doesn't
sound like "suffer the little children to come unto me does
it. That is because it is speaking of those religious
leaders that should have been ready to accept the Kingdom when
Christ was in there midst, but because they did not progress
past - looking for their savior to accepting him...they were
children in their faith. It also speaks to those today,
who never pass the childhood stages of faith because of heart
issues. Next verse speaks of the Kingdom of Heaven being
like a certain king, making a marriage for his son.
Someone shows up without the proper attire on. Those that
are welcome at the feast are those not only clothed by Christs
righteousness, but by their righteous acts - those acts the
Spirit had done through them during their life here on this
earth. Without both sets of clothes, verse 12 and 13
happen. Matt. 25 is the kingdom of heaven being left in
the hands of his servants while the man travels to another land
- sounds like Christ leaving this earth and putting his ministry
into his followers hands?. The unprofitable servant- the
one who doesn't do the work that was entrusted to him, found
himself put out. These verses sound stragely
like a verson of purgatory dont they?
