Thanks for taking the time to answer about the two witnesses.  Actually my question was not who are the two witnesses, who they might be, as you interpreted, but rather, is there any scripture that would negate the possibilty of one of the two witnesses coming from this current time that we live in?

 

I already understand many speculate Elijah and Moses, or Enoch or even the Apostle John, but didn't John the Baptist come in the spirit of Elijah? not that he was Elijah, but that he came in the spirit of him? Therefore could one of the Witnesses come in this our day, like John the Baptist, representing the spirit of Elijah? 

 

Again, does scripture negate this?
