The need to evacuate 40 million people is definitely a headline that would get your attention.
I don't believe Japan will most likely get the chance to relocate it's people either to China or the Russian controlled Kuril Islands.
You copied my Malacca post, it's very relevant unfortunately.
 
Russia's economy is resource-based.
Asia's economy is export-based.
