Hebrews 3 and 4 make it pretty clear that entering his rest means faith in Jesus.
The day he keeps saying is today

"Today if you hear his voice do not harden your hearts"

It is a choice to follow him. The sabbath is not a day but a choice
Jesus rose on the first day of the week and ascended to heaven that same day after speaking to Mary
That is in Mark 16
He ascended the 2nd time 40 days later on a Friday, missing the sabbath by one day each time.
He is not talking about a day
He is talking about a choice, to trust him, to enter his rest
That is how you honor the Sabbath, by entering his rest, trusting him
Jesus is the Sabbath.
