One of the problems that I had with Patti C.'s  idea of Satan entering into the serpent and having sex with Eve is that it seems to be in conflict with Rev. 20:2 which says, "And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan."  No one can change that verse to say that "the dragon, that old serpent, which was possessed by the Devil and Satan" because of the admonition given in Rev. 20:18 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues written in this book."  Rev. 20:2 would also show us that the serpent in the book of Genesis was Satan, and not Satan entering into the serpent to possess the body of Satan.
