The Australian Connection - Thoughts on ANZAC Day (25 April)
Early on Friday 20 April 2012 an earthquake rattled homes in Canberra, with the epicentre to the west near a small town named Wee Jasper. The earthquake measured just 3.7 on the Richter scale, but earthquakes are rare in this region (the nation’s capital) and the timing, coming in the Passover to Pentecost period, adds further signs to the imminence of His Coming.
I know that I look through Australian eyes, but there is a reason for a link between Australia and Israel. There are prophecies that see the final outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the further fulfilment of Joel’s prophecy, focussed on Australia - the great southland of the Holy Spirit. In my view, any true revival will strongly support Israel, and the pr-tribulation rapture (that Daniel’s final seven years is primarily for Israel). So I wanted to draw Doves’ attention to some interesting Australian dates/timelines.
ANZAC Day - A Nation’s Coming of Age - 25 April
In 2012 - Australia’s ANZAC Day is on Israel’s Memorial Day
Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, originally commemorated by both countries on 25 April every year to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli in the Ottoman Empire during World War I. It now more broadly commemorates all those who died and served in military operations for their countries. It is unusual for ANZAC Day (late in April) to coincide with Israel’s Memorial and Independence Days (14 and 15 May 1948, in our calendar), as it does this year. What is also of interest is that ANZAC Day in 2012 marks 97 years since the landing at Gallipoli (in Turkey) in 1915 that marks the first ANZAC Day - just three years to the 100th year celebration.
Of personal interest, my parents Leo and Nancy Hart were married (in Tasmania) on Israel’s Independence Day (15 May 1948) - so their journey has mirrored Israel’s timeline. It is also interesting that in the two most critical years in Israel’s history, ANZAC Day coincided with Passover (Passover Day 2 in 1948 and Passover Day 1 in 1967) - even though ANZAC Day is so late in April!
Amazing Mine Rescue at Beaconsfield - Link from ANZAC to Parliament Day

On ANZAC Day 2006 there was a gold mine collapse at a Beaconsfield Gold Mine (in Northern Tasmania). Seventeen miners were affected: fourteen escaped and three men were trapped. One of these men died, but two men survived against all odds, around one kilometre underground. They were underground for 14 (2*7) days - interestingly the mine collapsed on ANZAC Day and the men walked out as conquerors in the early hours of 9 May - this is the day that Australia celebrated its parliamentary openings: first parliament in 1901 in Melbourne, Canberra in 1927 (Old Parliement House) and 1988 (New and present parliament house). Hope this may be of interest - the Master Designer may have a plan in all this. Australia celebrated its 111th year as a nation on 1 January 2012.

The miners were trapped in the Hart shaft of the Beaconsfield Gold Mine - named after my ancestors when the Hart family was quite wealthy in Tasmania. We seemed to have lost our natural wealth, but we still have the greatest wealth of all - the riches of Christ! Denis Maranatha!
