"CHRIST'S RESURRECTION/ASCENSION IS 'THE SHADOW' OF THE CHURCH'S RESURRECTION/RAPTURE.........."

Dear Doves,

I have come to believe that 'the pattern' of Christ's resurrection/ascension is 'the shadow' of the Church's resurrection/rapture IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE. We know that Jesus  resurrected from the dead just as the dead in Christ will rise (resurrect) from the dead first, and then who are alive will be gathered together (raptured) with them to meet the Lord in the air.

Jesus resurrected from the dead AFTER the third day which was a Saturday Sabbath. Therefore, He resurrected soon AFTER sunset at the end of the third day which was the Saturday Sabbath:  (Hebrew days run from sunset to sunset)

Matthew 27:63
"Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, "After three days I will rise again."
Mark 8:31
".......and be killed, and after three days rise again."

Matthew 8:1
"Now after the Sabbath (which was the third day), as the first day of the week (Sunday) began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb."
Mark 16:9
"Now when He rose early ( soon after sunset Saturday evening) on the first day (Sunday) of the week,......."

The 'Hebrew' first day of the week which is Sunday begins right after sunset the previous Saturday evening. Therefore, when the Scripture says, "He rose early on the first day of the week" it means He rose soon after sunset the previous Saturday evening.

Now look what Jesus says to Mary:

John 20:17
"Jesus said to her, Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended (raptured) to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, I am ascending (rapturing) to my Father....."

LOOKING AT CHRIST'S RESURRECTION/ASCENSION AS A 'SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME':

The resurrection/rapture of the Church/bride will be a Saturday/Sunday event. I believe that soon after sunset on that SATURDAY EVENING which is early on the first day of the Hebrew week, which is Sunday; The dead in Christ will resurrect from the dead first, just as Christ did, soon after sunset.  Then we who are alive will be gathered together (raptured) from the four corners of the earth with them to meet the Lord in the air ON THAT SUNDAY MORNING.
Then we will ALL ASCEND TO THE FATHER just as Jesus did that Firstfruits Sunday morning. Jesus is the 'Firstfruits of the Dead' and His Church/bride is the Firstfruits of the Spirit'.

Come Lord Jesus!
