This is the apostle Paul speaking;

 

2 Timothy 1:11

"...to which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher OF THE GENTILES."      and.........

 

2 Timothy 2:10

"Therefore, I endure all things FOR THE SAKE OF THE ELECT, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory."     so..........

 

Matthew 24:22

"And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the SAKE OF THE ELECT those days will be shortened."

 

 

The "elect" of (2 Timothy 2:10) are the very same Gentile and Jew ELECT as the "elect" of (Matthew 24:22).
