After you quoted (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) you followed that quote with the following quote of your own, "There will be no angels sent down to gather the elect."

 

Can you please then explain what Paul meant when he said in: 

 

2 Thessalonians 1:7

"and to give you, who are troubled, rest with us WHEN THE LORD JESUS IS REVEALED FROM HEAVEN WITH HIS MIGHTY ANGELS."        and.............

2 Thessalonians 2:1

"Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ AND OUR GATHERING TOGETHER TO HIM..."         and now...........

 

Matthew 24:31

"And He will SEND HIS ANGELS with a great sound of a trumpet, AND THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER HIS ELECT......"

 

After reading Paul's 1st Letter to the Thessalonians, you then need to read Paul's 2nd Letter to get a more detailed account of the rapture. There will be angels gathering His elect from the four winds during the rapture. Do not draw back when the angels come for you!

 

Hebrews 10:37-38

"For yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; BUT IF ANYONE DRAWS BACK, My soul has NO PLEASURE IN HIM."

 

 

You may now want to retract your quote, "There will be no angels sent down to gather the elect." ?
