Dear Doves,

 

We all know the most common meaning of the word 'revealed' is when something that has been previously hidden from us is made known to us. Now consider the meaning of the word 'revealed' in the following Scripture which means something different:

 

Luke 17:30

"Even so it will be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed."

The identity of the Son of Man is NOT hidden from us at all, so the meaning of the word 'revealed' here means 'fulfilled'.

 

Now consider the meaning of the word 'revealed' in the following Scripture:

 

2 Thessalonians 2:3

"Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed,......"

Here the meaning of "revealed" is the common one that what was previously hidden from us is now made known to us ie. we learn the identity of the anti-Christ BEFORE the Day we are raptured.

 

The meaning of the word 'revealed' means something different in the following two Scriptures:

 

2 Thessalonians 2:6

"And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time."

2 Thessalonians 2:7-8

".......He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way, And then the lawless one will be revealed,..."

 

Here the meaning of  " revealed" is the less common one which means 'fulfilled'. Therefore AFTER the Holy Spirit, the Restrainer, "is taken out of the way"  the anti-Christ's forty-two month time of authority on earth 'may be fulfilled' or 'will be fulfilled'.
