Hi again, Donna and Suzanna....I found a rather simplistic study that explains about the 144,000 and the "two witnesses."  Maybe this will clarify the question a bit more.

If this doesn't make the situation clear that the "two witnesses" are not just two actual "resurrected" men, than I don't know where else to go from here.  The purpose of these people are for worldwide spreading of the Word of God for the saving of millions of people.  They will accomplish what God sends them forth to do....become witnesses in the judgment of those who refuse the Gospel message.....
