"The Year of the Rapture (Part 2)"

Dear doves,

There are only two words in the Bible that have a gematria value of 2008 -- REST (Acts 7:49) and Syntyche (Phil 4:2). The latter is the name of a sister, a fellow coworker of Paul. Syntyche was urged by Paul to be of one mind with Euodias, another female fellow coworker.

The name Syntyche means FORTUNATE. Will the bride be fortunate enough to enter into REST in the year 2008?

The possibility is extremely high given the substantial Biblical evidence cited so far. I want to offer yet another intriguing piece of evidence by examining the two Biblical words with gematria value 2008.

The first Greek word, katapausis, means REST. We read in Acts 7:49, "Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest [katapausis]?" To enter into REST is to enter into the Presence of God, the place of His rest. The rapture is one means of doing just that.

Intriguingly, the word katapausis only appears 8 more times in the New Testament --  solely in the book of Hebrews.

Heb 3:11  not enter into my rest Heb 4:1 entering into his rest
Heb 3:18 not enter into his rest Heb 4:3 enter into rest
    Heb 4:3 enter into my rest
    Heb 4:5 enter into my rest
    Heb 4:10 entered into his rest
    Heb 4:11 enter into that rest

The phrase, ENTER INTO REST, is unique to the book of Hebrews in the New Testament (it appears only once in the Old Testament in Psalm 95:11, the very scripture quoted by Paul in Hebrews chapters 3 & 4); observe that it appears in the positive form ONLY in chapter four; the word 'not' is absent. What is the significance? Hold tight to your seat and get this: Hebrews chapter four is chapter 208 of the New Testament!

What are the chances that a word with value 2008 is found maximized in chapter 208 of the New Testament, a chapter with clear rapture theme? In the CLOCK phenomenon, the number 208 is the key that points to 2008. (See link1 & link2)

From Acts chapter 7 which contains the first Greek word, katapausis (value 2008), to Philipians chapter 4 where the second Greek word, Syntyche (value 2008), appears, there are 82 chapters. There are also 82 chapters from Philipians chapter 4 to the end of the New Testament!

The scripture, Acts 7:49, has its source in Isa 66:1; between them there are 280 chapters!

Design is evident in the repeated appearances of the digits 28!

The 208th Chapters of the Old & New Testaments

The 208th chapters of the Old & New Testaments are Joshua chapter 21 and Hebrew chapter 4 respectively. These two chapters alone prove that the Holy Spirit ordered the 1189 chapters of the Bible with divine purpose!

Chapter 208 of the Old Testament (OT208) describes for the FIRST TIME God granting REST to the people of Israel through Joshua after they entered the Promised Land. "And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand." Josh 21:44

Chapter 208 of the New Testament (NT208) is the ONLY chapter in the Bible which records the ENTERING INTO HIS REST, the SECOND REST, namely the ETERNAL REST, a far more superior rest than the first as recorded in OT208.

OT208 conceals a rapture secret just as stunning! The entire chapter is a detailed account of the giving of 48 cities from the tribes of Israel to the Levites. NO OTHER CHAPTER in the Bible can approach the frequent mention of these two Hebrew words: ar for CITY and migrash for SUBURB. These two words fit the notion of ENTERING INTO REST like a glove. The bride shall enter into the CITY OF GOD, the place of His REST, at the rapture.

The gematria value of  ar (city) is 280. The number of chapters between the appearance of the Greek word, katapausis (REST; gematria value 2008) in Acts 7:49, and its Old Testament source, Isa 66:1, is PRECISELY 280!

To see why OT208 is special, all it takes is a tabulation of the word distribution of  ar (city) and migrash (suburb).

The chart above shows the word distribution for ar (city) in the Old Testament, with the book of Joshua standing head and shoulders above the rest. The contrast is even sharper if we view the word distribution on a per chapter basis (chart below).

The book of Joshua records the word, ar (city), nearly 7 times per chapter (6.583) on average, outstripping all the other books in the Old Testament which are nowhere in sight!

Here comes the shocker: Of the 24 chapters in the book of Joshua, the word, ar (city), which has a gematria value of 280, is maximized in chapter 208 of the Old Testament!

It is clear that the word, ar (city), is writ large in the book of Joshua; furthermore, within the book of Joshua, it builds up to a crescendo and peaks at Joshua chapter 21 -- the 208th chapter of the Old Testament!

The same maximum concentration is observed in the book of Joshua for the second Hebrew word, migrash (suburb).

The word migrash (suburb) is PRIMARILY reserved for describing the residence of the sons of Levi! It appears 98.3% (57 out of 58 counts) in Joshua chapter 21, the 208th OT chapter! Outside the book of Joshua, another concentration occurs in the book of 1 Chronicles, which records the very same history when the cities and suburbs were apportioned to the Levites! This historical account is recorded in chapter 6 of 1 Chronicles where the word migrash (suburb) appears 95.5% (42 out of 44 counts) in the book!

Thus, the hidden secret of Joshua 21 and Hebrews 4 -- the 208th chapters of the Old and New Testaments, is shrouded in these biblical words & phrases: city, suburb & enter into rest.

The gematria values of these three biblical words speak volumes. The hidden secret was unraveled thanks to the Greek word, katapausis (REST), which has the all-too-revealing gematria value of 2008. Its concentration in NT208 leads to the startling discovery that the earthly REST was first granted by God to Israel in OT208, a parallel to the heavenly REST in NT208! Both chapters prove that the ordering of chapters in the Holy Bible is divinely-inspired. The phrase, ENTER INTO REST, unique to NT208 -- a future heavenly promise yet to be fulfilled, first found fulfilment on earth in Israel as recorded in OT208.

The second linkage lies in the Hebrew word, ar (city). Scanning the 39 OT books, we zoom in to the book of Joshua, where the word ar is most concentrated. A second-level scan on the 24 chapters of Joshua reveals that chapter 21 (OT208) is second to none in its usage of the word ar, which has a gematria value of 280. But between the appearance of the Greek word, katapausis (REST; gematria 2008), in Acts 7:49 and its Old Testament source, Isa 66:1, there are 280 chapters!

Even the gematria value of the Hebrew word, migrash (suburb), 543, is not random. For starters, the Golden Verse of  the Gospel of John, chapter 12 verse 8, has 543 verses preceding it! John 12:8 points clearly to 2008/5768 (see link). If 2008 is the circumference of a circle, the Golden Rectangle inside it has sides 336.02 and 543.69. The Golden Verse of John's Gospel divides its 879 verses into 543336 verses!

The CITY of God

There is another BIG secret hidden in the 208th chapter of the Old Testament. Let us approach this chapter by zooming in successively based on the maximization of the word, ar (city):

                   (max 'ar's)                            (max 'ar's)                (max 'ar's)
39 OT books  ⇒   Book of Joshua  ⇒  Joshua 21  ⇒  Josh 21:42
     (Bible)                                (Book)                           (Chapter)                   (Verse)

In verse 42 of Joshua chapter 21, we encounter this chapter's last four appearances of the word, ar (city), which is maximized in this verse. What is so remarkable about this verse, the 6424th verse of the Bible?

The LORD JESUS CHRIST points to this verse in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS! The number 6424 is the sum of three Greek gematria values of Jesus!

6424 = 888 + 2368 + 3168
888   = Greek gematria of                  JESUS
2368 = Greek gematria of          JESUS CHRIST
3168 = Greek gematria of    LORD JESUS CHRIST

Surely this is no accident. It seems the LORD JESUS Himself leads us to this verse by three successive zoom-ins. What is the BIG secret buried in this scripture that requires the TRIPLE EMPHASIS of the Author of the Word Himself?

The verse number, 6424, bears another TRIPLE EMPHASIS from one of the most intriguing creations called time. Take the three gematrias of LORD JESUS CHRIST (3168, 3368 & 4048); read them as time: 31:68, 33:68 and 40:48 hours.

31:68 = 32:08 =   8:08 AM on day two = 1928 minutes
33:68 = 34:08 = 10:08 AM on day two = 2048 minutes
40:48 =           =    4:48 PM on day two = 2448 minutes

The total number of minutes of the three LORD JESUS CHRIST clock times (31:68, 33:68 and 40:48) is 1928+2048+24486424 !

Here's the BIG secret: The word, ar (city; gematria value 280), appears four times in Josh 21:42; add the total gematria values (280 x 4) to 6424 and we have a QUADRUPLE DOUBLE WITNESS to the year of the rapture!

6424 + 280 + 280 + 280 + 280 = 7544

7544 = 5768              + 888   (Jesus)                     +  888  (Jesus)
7544 = 57:68 (3488) + 888   (Jesus)                     + 3168 (Lord Jesus Christ)
7544 = 2008              + 2368 (Jesus Christ)          + 3168 (Lord Jesus Christ)
7544 = 20:08 (1208) + 3168 (Lord Jesus Christ) + 3168 (Lord Jesus Christ)

In each equation above, there is a DOUBLE WITNESS from Jesus concerning the year of the rapture, 2008 or 5768! Observe that the three gematria values of Jesus in the above equations come from the same set with sum 6424 (888 + 2368 + 3168)! For each of the four words for ar (city), there is a DOUBLE WITNESS from the Lord pointing to 2008 or 5768; thus, we find within the scripture Josh 21:44 an unbelievable QUADRUPLE DOUBLE WITNESS!

Enter into REST

Strictly speaking, there are ONLY TWO words in the Bible that have a gematria value of 2008; they are katapausis (Acts 7:49) for REST and Syntyche (Phil 4:2). The word katapausis as used by Paul in the book of Hebrews adds up to 1063, not 2008; its value as listed in Strong's Concordance is 1213. Interestingly, the sum of 1063 & 1213 is the sum of 888 (JESUS) & 1388 (LORD JESUS)!

Between the two Greek words with value 2008 there are 2280 verses inclusive. The number 2280 is the gematria value of CHRIST THE LORD, which can only be found in Luke 2:11. (Note: Elijah was taken in 2 Kgs 2:11.) The number 2280 is the sum of 1480 (CHRIST) and 800 (LORD). It is revealed unmistakably by the year 2008 and its Hebrew equivalent year 5768!

5768  - 57:682280 = 1480 (CHRIST) + 800 (LORD)!
2008  - 20:08 =                                           800 (LORD)!

57:68 - 20:08 = 2280 = 1480 (CHRIST) + 800 (LORD)!
5768 2008   =             1480 (CHRIST) + 800 (LORD) + 1480 (CHRIST)!

(Note: 57:68 = 3488 minutes;   20:08 = 1208 minutes)

Jesus is pointing to 2008 & 5768!

The two scriptures that contain the two words with gematria value 2008 are just as revealing. The first scripture, Acts 7:49, has Yeshua HaMashiach (gematria 749), the Hebrew for Jesus Christ, in it! The second scripture, Phil 4:2, points to the number 42 which signifies the coming of Jesus!

Is Jesus coming for the bride in 2008? The weight of scriptural evidence cited so far seems to suggest so!

Hi John,

I enjoyed your last article. It was well researched and thought out, thanks for your contribution. I would like to add 1 small point, if I may…

Syntyche was urged by Paul to be of one mind with Euodias, but what “mind” was Paul referring to? Perhaps, a clue is found in her name, which means: "prosperous journey". As you point out, the name Syntyche means “Fortunate.” In the Dutch language, “syntyche” means “relief,” and is often used in association with ‘mental relief.’ Later in your article, you touch on the #42, which identifies the generation which “Christ” appears in, but also indicates the timing for the crossing over, since there were 41 camp movements in the wilderness and they crossed over the Jordan , into the Promised Land, on the 42nd movement. Btw, the 42nd man is the Pres. (Cleveland was elected 2 non-consecutive times, 22 & 24) and (I think) the Queen, is the 42nd monarch (without being deposed of) in England ’s recorded history.

There is a great multitude of people going thru difficult and very trying circumstances (all for the glory of God) that are in great need for Rest, for mental relief, for a fortunate (by His Grace) prosperous journey – as you have so beautifully pointed out in 2008.

Thanks,

jo
