To who is interested.I have read some of the discussion on whether or not the Jews are the chosen or if the church replaced the Jews. The mixing together of different dispensations can really confuse a lot of people.Jesus came to earth and preached to the Jews. I would think everyone will agree to that. He told his apostle's to preach to the Jews first. He himself preached to the Jews and told the apostle to go to the Jews.Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:Matthew 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.Matthew 10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. The Kingdom at the time was at hand. Jesus was ready to rule the earth had the Jews accepted him. But they did not so God put the Kingdom program "on hold" and eventually blinded the Jews and called out Paul with a new "mystery" Gospel for the Gentiles. Under this there is neither Jew nor Gentile. He does not want us to be ignorant of this mystery and what he was doing. So he told us clearly that Israel is blinded but not forever. Once the church is gone the tribulation will start and God will then deal with the nation Israel. Two separate dealings. The church will inherit heaven and the Jews will inherit the earth.Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.Romans 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:Romans 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.Romans 11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes.Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.Romans 11:30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:Romans 11:31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercyIt is clear that God has a plan for Israel(Jews) and a plan for Gentiles.Starting with verse 25 Paul says he does not want us to be ignorant. He is speaking to Gentiles.Notice in verse 11 listed below, Paul is saying salvation has come to the Gentiles. How? Through Israel fall of unbelief. Notice the next sentence says to provoke them to jealousy. Provoke who to jealousy? JEWS!Romans 11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them(Jews) to jealousy.verse 13 says Paul is the apostle to the Gentiles.Romans 11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:Now getting back to verse 25 above Paul is saying he does not want us to be ignorant of this mystery. The mystery involves the revealing of God's plan to Paul for the Gentiles. The mystery includes salvation by grace through faith, the rapture of the church, the blindness of Israel. All this can be found in Ephesians and Corinthians and all the books penned by our Apostle Paul. Please don't mix this up with the prophecy Jesus went over in Gospels.(Matthew 24 etc) He was talking to the Jews about his second coming. They had no clue that there would be a rapture because it was not revealed until God revealed it to Paul.Notice the next verse 26 says all Israel shall be saved. He states this right after he tells them Israel is blinded. and verse 27 he states this is HIS COVENANT to them(JEWS)Verse 28 he goes back to the gospel (God's Free Gift) they are enemies for our sake. (JEWS are enemies for Gentiles sake) But the election(JEWS)or touching the election they are beloved of the father's sake.Paul is saying that the Jews are still beloved by the Father. As he states in the next verse the gifts and calling are WITHOUT repentance!! Repentance means change of mind. He will not change his mind. Israel(Jews) are blinded now but God will not forget them.Look at verse 31. "these(Jews) also not believed" "through your(Gentile)mercy they also may obtain mercy. WOW! God is using the mystery gospel given to Paul to make the Jews jealous so that when he lifts the blinders they will be saved. The entire nation that is left at the second coming will believe!!So let me say this. I am NOT a Jew. I will never be a Jew. God made me a Gentile. I am a part of the "body of Christ" in which once a person believes he becomes a part of the Body of Christ. Salvation is open to all who believe whether Jew or Gentile. Either can become a part of the body of Christ through faith. Once this Body of Christ or "church" is raptured then it gets a little more or should I say a lot more difficult. God turns back to the Jews and times are going to be tough. So arguing over little things like a Gentile becoming a Jew or that the church replaced Israel is nonsense. Come on guys. God is NOT the arthur of confusion. Have you ever wondered why there are so few Jews that have accepted Jesus as their savior? Well the Bible said they are blinded for now. We cannot get all puffed up and proud thinking we are better than the Jews and that we replaced them. That is not what the clear teaching of the bible says. The Jews are TEMPORARILY blinded while the Gentiles are enjoying God's FREE gift. By very few Jews accepting Jesus is proof another prophecy fulfilled in the Bible. If satan could he would get the entire nation of Israel to believe during this dispensation so he could point to the bible and say that the Bible said the Jews would not believe and they have. But when God said the Jews as a whole were blinded he meant it. Their eyes will be completely opened at the Second Coming. The Bible really is quite easy to understand when a person allows the Holy Spirit to guide them and rightly dividing the Word.ThanksMike W
