Paul, After praying about
your request for your home & car
surviving the fire, I went on to your
next post. There are a couple
of scripture that have always
'intrigued me". Could this be
what it could mean......I think so!
Isaiah 57:1 "The righteous man
perishes, and no man takes to heart;
And devout men are taken away, while
no one understands. For the
righteous man is taken away from the
evil" (to come) my emphesis.
and then there is this
one: Micah 7:1-6 "Woe is
me! for I am as when they have
gathered the summer fruits, as the
grape gleanings of the vintage: there
is no cluster to eat: my soul desired
the first ripe fruit. The
good man is perished out of the
earth: and there is none
upright among men: they all lie in
wait for blood; they hunt every man
his brother with a net. J.R.
Church has told that the term gathered
or harvested, in the Hebrew asaph
means to "cause
to vanish" but one of it's
major meanings is, "to be gathered to
one's father at death."
Perish, in the Hebrew ovad
means, "to cause to vanish!" and is
an unbloody death.
The fact that right after the
end of the Harvest Season, Israel
realizes that she has no friends (they
are gone) and stands alone as the
attack from the North, which she
always knew would happen, has
come. So, It is my belief, based
on these two teachings, that we are at
that time when the good man perishes
(taken in unbloody) death at almost
the same second that a major
catastrophe happens. Then those
left who survive will think we are
just among those that are found dead
but Praise The Lord, we have that hope
promised to us called, "The Blessed
Hope". JR would always say,
"Whew, we just made it!" so it must be
in the twinkling of an eye, eh?
God will see you through Paul,
you and yours,
gerlinda
"remain
or ..... (very intriguing)"
I looked at the concordance
for 1 Thes 4:17 and the word
translated as remain could have the
meaning of survive. could this be of
any significance?? Does it mean
something might happen to some of the
living right before the rapture to
kill them???? Like something happens
to kill some then the rapture where
the dead are taken up first and then
(same split second, a unnoticeable
delay) those of us who did not die.
