Maybe there are those people who do not read the Bible, but maybe are literary scholars.   Now what would be an invasion of a squid mean?   Hmm well in the book 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, the squid attacking the mad man's submarine is a literary theme that technology will be the destruction of man.     Or can one say that the mark of the beast is coming and will be the destruction of man in possibly the next year?
