"Neat Texas tradition
for Football Homecoming during Rosh Hashanah"
So I have found out about this really fun Texas
tradition where girls make these fake flowers called mums and
put ribbons behind them and wear them to a Homecoming
game. And the HomeCOMING games are in this time
frame of Rosh Hashanah. It is a celebration of all
the accomplishments of the student to show off what you were
involved in during school such as drama, sports,
whatever. And it is an opportunity for girls to make
these with their moms and friends. I think some
people have them made and spend a lot of money, but I guess they
may not have time or expertise. However I find it
very interesting that these pretty decorations are worn during
Rosh Hashanah for a HOMECOMING game. And all the people
are decorated. I am floored right now seeing
all these young and happy students wear decorations that
sparkle. All I can think of is the awesome decor and
excitement we will have at the Marriage Feast of the
Lamb! Wow, what an awesome testimony if a girl put
Christian symbols in hers! I am in California,
but I want one! I am going to go make one for myself
even though I am old and in my 30's! Ha Ha.
Here is a cool picture that I found so you know what I am
talking about....just a random search on Google, I do not know
these people.
