"RE:  Pray for Rain for Texas"

Hello, John and Doves,
The key to praying for anything for another person is in.............Daniel!!!
"I went on praying and confessing my sin and the sin of my people,
pleading with the LORD my God for Jerusalem, his holy mountain.
"As I was praying, Gabriel, whom I had seen in the earlier vision,
came swiftly to me at the time of the evening sacrifice.
"He explained to me, "Daniel, I have come here to give you insight and understanding.
"The moment you began praying, a command was given. And now I am here
to tell you what it was, for you are very precious to God. Listen carefully
so that you can understand the meaning of your vision."  Daniel 9:20-23  NLT
We need to cover others with the blood of Jesus by means of the prayer of faith.
"Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another,
                     that ye may be healed.
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
                                        James 5:16
"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable
in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."
                                        Psalm 19:14
Remember the Christian's bar of soap:
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."  1 John 1:9
Now we are at the point where we have a right to claim the promises of God,
for we have been made righteous in Jesus' mighty cleansing blood.
"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
                            Hebrews 4:16
For it is written:
"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
"Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,
                    (by grace ye are saved;)
"And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together
in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus:
"That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace
in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:
[it is] the gift of God:
"Not of works, lest any man should boast.
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
                                    Ephesians 2:4-10
You see, it is not by our works that we are saved, but rather by walking in His
pre-ordained works that we show that we have been saved.
If your prayer is to be successful, sister Carol,
then be sure that your success in prayer
has been ordained before the foundation of the world!
Indeed, it is written,

"I will answer them before they even call to me.

While they are still talking about their needs,

I will go ahead and answer their prayers!"

Isaiah 65:24 New Living Translation, Tyndale House, publisher [NLT]

"Yet you don't have what you want, because you don't ask God for it." James 4:2 NLT

"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

"And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."

1 John 5:14-15 NLT

Now we've come to the nitty-gritty of answered prayer.  We've confessed our sins.  We are in right standing with God through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  We can therefore ask anything according to His will, and He will do it for us.

"Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,

"Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, [even] to the children of Israel.

"Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses....

"Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it [to] the right hand or [to] the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

"Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest."

                            Joshua 1:[verses 1-3, 7-9]

            "If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

"Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit."  Leviticus 26:3-4

            "But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;

"And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, [but] that ye break my covenant:

"I also will do this unto you....

"...I will set my face against you....

"And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins....

"And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits."

"And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.

"And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it."  Leviticus 26:[verses 14-15, 16a, 17a, 18, 20, 31-32]

Make no mistake about it:  If Texas is the home of the self-styled "America's Greatest Team," the Dallas Cowboys, then as Texas goes, so goes the nation.
You Texans are in a position of spiritual leadership--the "buckle on the Bible Belt"--whether you like it or not.   That's an awesome responsibility.  I don't think that Daniel sought his position of spiritual superiority.  Daniel sought God with a whole heart, and God honored Daniel.
"And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
"That I will give [you] the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
"And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.
            "Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
"And [then] the LORD'S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and [lest] ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.
"Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
"And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
"And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
"That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth."
                                        Deuteronomy 11:13-21
"Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse...."  Deuteronomy 11:26
"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [you] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [you] double-minded.
"Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and [your] joy to gloom.
"Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up."
                                    James 4:8-10
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
"Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
"And ye shall seek me, and find [me], when ye shall search for me with all your heart."
                                                        Jeremiah 29:11-13
"For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it."
                                                        Isaiah 55:10-11
Pray His Word.  You can't go wrong.
"I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
"He hath made every [thing] beautiful in his time...."  Ecclesiastes 3:10-11

"Pray for Rain for Texas"

Hi all,
While we await for the Glorious Rapture, can everyone take a few moments to pray for much needed RAIN for Texas and Oklahoma ?  We have not had any rain to speak of since last October.  Should the Lord delay and how we pray NOT, Texas may not get any rain until next year according to the forecasters.  The drought is nothing to sneeze at.
While everyone else is getting flooded, we are starving for rain.  Surely God is speaking !  May His Mercy which endures forever be upon us all while we continue to watch fervently and pray without ceasing pray for His imminent Return!!!
Thanks for your prayers,
Carol Garza
