I am wondering if the name COLEMAN from Scottish descent is of Jewish origin. My husband has both Jewish roots (far back) and American Indian roots. I myself am a Jew through patrilineal descent. Jews of the Bible were only reckoned as Jews through this method of the father's line- not like today where modern Jews say they are Jews (only) through their mother's side.
