If Elenin causes darkness when it is between the Earth and the sun, then wouldn't it effect the day Rosh Hashanah falls on; because wouldn't it affect the sighting of the new moon?

This unforeseen event surely would mean that no one could know the day or the hour of the 2 day Feast this year!
