The shift from U.S. to EU:
The European Role and the Aspirations of the Arab People 07/22/11
Catherine Ashton is competent and capable of charting a role for the European Union to play, one that would serve democratic aspirations and place Europe on the map as a political player and as a partner, not merely as a fund or as a proxy as in the past.
The UK's Tony Blair to meet Palestinian and Israeli leaders in peace push 09/04/11Tony Blair to seek path back to peace talks in effort to avert collision over Palestinian bid to win UN recognition of statehood.
Tony Blair is expected to meet Palestinian and Israeli leaders this week in an attempt to find a path back to peace negotiations and avert a potential diplomatic collision over a Palestinian bid to win UN recognition of their statehood.
The former British prime minister has reportedly been entrusted with the task of finding a formula to restart talks that would be acceptable to the members of the Middle East quartet – the US, the European Union, Russia and the United Nations – as well as to both sides in the conflict.
Blair met Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, last week and has further meetings scheduled for this week.
I don't think T.Blair lasts long.
'EU's Ashton mulls scrapping Mideast envoy job
Mar 05, 2011
Ashton’s spokeswoman, Maja Kocijancic, said the EU was taking time to decide on the position because the bloc is overhauling its diplomacy with the nascent European External Action Service taking shape this year.
That post will be filled by HRH P.Charles, the little horn of Daniel 7:8, Daniel 8:9,10
Daniel 7:8, “I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.” Daniel 8:9,10, “And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
Keep in mind the Prophet Daniel clearly states AntiMessiah begins as a little horn.
Plan B on Palestine at the UN? Europeans mull alternative resolution 09/02/11
As President Barack Obama prepares to address the United Nations later this month, a painful diplomatic failure of his administration looms: last year, speaking to the same UN General Assembly opening session, Obama voiced the hope that US-led diplomatic efforts would help achieve a negotiated agreement between the Israelis and Palestinians that would lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state this fall. That deadline fast approaches, - Obama is set to address the UN General Assembly on September 20th 2011.
European nation foreign ministry lawyers are studying language that might be used in an alternative resolution on Palestinian statehood, a European diplomat told the Envoy. The diplomat suggested that UK foreign office lawyers in London may be taking the lead in drafting alternative resolution language, although the diplomat stressed that the work was still in its early stages.

From my August 2011 post,
Global Cities Index 2010-New York, London, Tokyo, and Paris are the top four in 2010, as they were in the first Global Cities Index two years ago, and they are ahead in most of the criteria that make a truly global city. What about the Euro-Crisis?That will disable France from the list. But guess who didn't join the Euro, though they are clearly a European Continent? The UK.That leaves London (home of the Antimessiah) at the top, after the NYSE crashes and the U.S. and Japan grapple with major natural catastrophes.Have you checked the weather lately? Both the United States and Japan continue to be inundated with economic setbacks due to Natural Catastrophies.Senior Israeli Officer clearly alludes to what believer's know as Isaiah 17, Psalm 83.IDF general: Likelihood of regional war growing 09/05/11Recent revolutions in the Arab world and the deteriorating ties with Turkey are raising the likelihood of a regional war in the Middle East, IDF Home Front Command Chief, Major General Eyal Eisenberg warned Monday.Weapons of mass destruction?
Referring to what he characterized as the possibility of a "radical Islamic winter," Major-General Eisenberg said: "This raises the likelihood of an all-out, total war, with the possibility of weapons of mass destruction being used."
During his address, the senior IDF official revealed that new, more lethal arms surfaced in the hands of Gaza terror groups during the latest round of fighting in the area. As result of the disturbing development, Israeli civilians were instructed to adopt greater precautions, he said.
"We discovered a new weapon, and as result of this we instructed the public to hide under two roofs, rather than only one" He said.
I posted on the Butterfly in the Red Sea:
Although war always makes investors nervous, a war in the Middle East is particularly worrisome because it would probably affect worldwide oil supplies and prices. Rising oil prices fuel inflation.
NYSE Circuit BreakersIn response to the market breaks in October 1987 and October 1989 the New York Stock Exchange instituted circuit breakers to reduce volatility and promote investor confidence. By implementing a pause in trading, investors are given time to assimilate incoming information and the ability to make informed choices during periods of high market volatility.God Bless,Gail
