"Katla Volcano"

Something strange just happened to me at work (for those that don't know, I'm an aviation meteorologist.  The station Keflavik in southwest Iceland is reporting volcanic ash in the area as of 0700 Zulu time.  The satellite shows an ash looking cloud that came from the Katla area from about 22 hours previous:

The weird thing is that there is no VAAC messages, SIGMETS or even any news on this.  The good news is that whatever it was, ash or not, it is dissipating.  If this volcano really does blow, it will likely shadow the mess that happened last year when the volcano next to it went off.

Maranatha!
