"a couple other items on Pentecost"
As I said in my posts yesterday, the symbolism of
the rapture is in the feast of pentecost. A couple other things I
failed to mention.
Every pentecost the book of Ruth is read. Ruth is symbolic of the gentile church redeemed by Christ(Boaz)
The passages of the bible read on feast days have to do with the fulfilling of the feast day.
God
and Israel were betrothed to each other at Mt Sinai in Exodus 19 on
pentecost. Every pentecost the jewish people are to celebrate the
feast by reaffirming their covenant with God by reciting the 10
commandments and promising to fulfill their responsibilities.
It has become tradition to stay up all night on pentecost and study the torah. I read it started around 1530.
Did
God know this tradition would start on HIS feast day. Of
course. I find it interesting that 1 thess 5:6-7 when Paul is
talking about the rapture he says let us not sleep as others do for
those who sleep do their sleeping at night
Also Luke 6:12-13 Jesus stayed up all night in prayer and in the morning He called his disciples to Him
Are these symbolic references to the rapture on pentecost? I believe they are.
