Economy: 2 Articles....Both CANNOT be Right!!Yeah, I think you are right. Until the rapture we could see the economy improve and propserity increase. Gloom and doomers have been predicting a 5500 DOW for a year and a half and those who listened and withdrew from the market lost a fortune. Look at it today. Almost 11,000. The reason? Companies are lean and efficient and posting record profits. The stock market is not necessarily tied to employment, but rather to productivity and profits. But I wouldn't want to get in at this level. And forget all the hype about gold. You can't take a gold bar to Wal Mart and purchase food and supplies. And if the currency collapses, the government will probably make it illegal to own gold. Gold is a false hedge and look at what the Bible says about gold in the last days:James 51Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
But with that said, once the rapture occurs, the world will be so confused and startled, that the market will likely crash. At least until the "explanation for the missing" spreads and those left behind develop a false hope that all is well. The Cure for Anxiety
Matthew Chapter Six25 "This is why I tell you: (T) Don't worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food and the body more than clothing? (U) 26 Look at the birds of the sky: they don't sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you worth more than they? (V) 27 Can any of you add a single cubit to his height [o] by worrying? 28 And why do you worry about clothes? Learn how the wildflowers of the field grow: they don't labor or spin thread. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these! 30 If that's how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow, won't He do much more for you—you of little faith? (W) 31 So don't worry, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear?' 32 For the idolaters [p] eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God (X) [q] and His righteousness, (Y) and all these things will be provided for you. (Z) 34 Therefore don't worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble (AA) of its own.
